I'm a senior web developer based in Cairo, Egypt, with more than a decade of experience in front-end development. I specialize in building web applications with React, Next.js, and Node.js - focusing on performance, accessibility, and interfaces that are as maintainable as they are pleasant to use.

My path into technology was not a straight line. I began my academic journey at Ain Shams University studying history, then earned a degree in mass communication from Cairo University. That background shaped how I work today: I care as much about communicating clearly with a team and its users as I do about writing clean code.

Over my career I've worked with clients around the world - from international institutions like the World Bank to well-known brands such as Cinnabon and the Al Ahly Club. In each project I've designed and built websites and web apps that pair a considered visual design with reliable, well-tested functionality.

Away from the editor, I read widely - mostly fantasy and science fiction. Those stories are a recurring source of ideas here on the blog, where I write about the craft and culture of software development.
